It is a requirement of the National Construction Code that all tiled areas are professionally waterproofed. These tiled areas include all wet areas in a building such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and outdoor entertaining areas. Joint Sealing

Joint sealing involves ensuring that any junction of materials in a building are correctly sealed for waterproofing purposes. These junctions are where a building is at its weakest and the correct type of sealant must be applied to ensure the seal last through, material expansion, building movement and changing weather conditions. Buildings are designed to move a little to prevent cracking of finished surfaces and therefore your waterproofing must be flexible enough to maintain the seal. Reg can advise and supply many different types of joint sealant including polyeurathane, silicone, anti-fungal and fire rated sealants and caulkings as required for your specific project.
